MCP Server Privacy Policy

1. Who we are and what this covers

SmileStory Co., Ltd. ((주)스마일스토리, business registration no. 109-86-17229, 5F #511, 21 Magokjungang 6-ro, Gangseo-gu, Seoul 07801, Republic of Korea; “we”) operates the Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers listed below. They let an AI app such as Claude call our tools on your behalf.

This policy covers only these MCP server addresses (the /mcp endpoints). Each website and any account you create there is covered by that service's own policy and by the SmileStory privacy policy.

2. What we receive and collect

2.1 Tool requests

When your AI app calls a tool, it sends us the tool name and the values it chose for that tool, for example search words, a postal address, a public web page address or a piece of text to convert. We need these values to produce the answer. We do not receive your whole conversation or your AI account details unless your AI app puts them into a tool request. The servers without sign-in do not ask for your name, email address or any account.

2.2 MCP usage log

Every server writes one short line per request so we can count real use and tell automated crawlers apart. Each line contains only:

• the time of the request;
• the server name and the MCP method (for example initialize, tools/list, tools/call);
• the AI app name and version that the app reports when it connects;
• the tool name, for tool calls;
• the first 90 characters of the User-Agent header;
• a 10-character caller code made by one-way hashing the connecting IP address together with the date. It changes every day, so it cannot be used to follow a caller across days, and the IP address itself is not written to this log.

The usage log does not contain tool inputs, tool results, API keys or raw IP addresses.

2.3 Web server access logs

Like any website, our web servers keep standard access logs: the connecting IP address (usually your AI provider's server rather than your own device), time, requested path, response status and size, referrer and User-Agent. Request bodies, where tool inputs travel, are not logged. For some tools, our MCP server passes your search words or coordinates to the same service's own web API inside a URL; those internal requests are logged with our own server's address, not yours. If you add an API key to a server address as ?key=…, the key can appear in the access log; use an Authorization header where your app supports it.

2.4 Abuse protection and caches

To prevent abuse, some servers count requests per IP address in memory or in a short-lived cache. These counters are not part of any log and expire within 24 hours. Identical requests may be answered from a short in-memory cache (up to 1 hour). WIA Address keeps copies of geocoding answers on disk to reduce calls to third-party map services.

2.5 Data that specific tools store

• WIA A11y Checker — a check saves the result (the public page address you asked about, the score and the issues found) under a result ID. Anyone who has the result ID can look it up. Our automated browser visits the page you name.
• WIA360 — run_probe and score_session record the scoring outcome: probe and variant, verdict, axis, scoring signals, language and the session reference your AI app generates. The full reply text you submit is scored and not stored. get_match records anonymous match statistics (score and grade) without any identifier.
• MusicCheck and WIA Motion — these work with your account on those services. Files you submit, screening reports, video campaigns and credit use are stored in that account under that service's terms.
• All other servers (The Korean Today, WIA Address, WIA Braille + WIA Talk, WIA Code, WIA GIL, WIA Music, WIA Standards, WIHP, WIA Wisdom) are read-only lookups and store nothing beyond sections 2.2–2.4.

3. How we use it

• to answer the tool request you or your AI app made;
• to keep the service secure and available, including rate limits and investigating abuse;
• to understand overall usage. Our operators receive a daily summary with counts only (calls per server, tool and AI app name).

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, build profiles of you, or use your tool inputs to train AI models.

4. Sharing with third parties

• Hosting: our servers run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in Tokyo, Japan. Data described here is processed and stored there.
• WIA Address: the address text you send goes to the Korean government road-name address service (business.juso.go.kr), OpenStreetMap Nominatim and the Google Maps Geocoding API so that the address can be looked up and translated.
• WIA A11y Checker: the website you ask us to check receives visits from our checker.
• Daily summary: the count-only summary in section 3 is delivered to our operators through Telegram. It contains no tool inputs, IP addresses or caller codes.
• Legal requests: we disclose information only when Korean or other applicable law requires it.

No other third party receives data from these MCP servers.

6. Your choices and rights

You can disconnect a connector at any time in your AI app. You may ask us to access, correct or delete information about you. Because the servers without sign-in do not know who you are, please include what helps us find the record, such as a WIA A11y result ID or a WIA360 session reference. We answer within 10 days. You may also contact the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (www.kopico.go.kr, 1833-6972) or the KISA Privacy Center (privacy.kisa.or.kr, 118).

7. Children, security and changes

These servers are not directed at children under 14. The MCP servers are served over HTTPS only, and access to logs is limited to our administrators. If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.

1. 운영자와 적용 범위

(주)스마일스토리(SmileStory Co., Ltd., 사업자등록번호 109-86-17229, (07801) 서울특별시 강서구 마곡중앙6로 21, 5층 511호, 이하 “회사”)는 아래 MCP(Model Context Protocol) 서버를 운영합니다. 이 서버들은 Claude 같은 AI 앱이 이용자를 대신해 회사의 기능(도구)을 부를 수 있게 해 줍니다.

이 방침은 아래 MCP 서버 주소(/mcp)에만 적용됩니다. 각 웹사이트와 그곳에서 만든 계정은 해당 서비스의 방침과 스마일스토리 개인정보 처리방침을 따릅니다. 서버 목록은 위 영어 1절의 표와 같습니다(코리안투데이, WIA A11y Checker, MusicCheck, WIA360, WIA Address, WIA Braille + WIA Talk, WIA Code, WIA GIL, WIA Motion, WIA Music, WIA Standards, WIHP, WIA Wisdom). 이 가운데 MusicCheck와 WIA Motion만 계정의 API 키가 필요하고, 나머지는 로그인이 없습니다.

2. 받는 정보와 남기는 정보

2.1 도구 요청

AI 앱이 도구를 부르면 도구 이름과 그 도구에 필요한 값(검색어, 주소, 공개 웹페이지 주소, 변환할 글 등)을 보냅니다. 회사는 답을 만들기 위해 이 값을 씁니다. AI 앱이 요청에 직접 넣지 않는 한 대화 전체나 AI 계정 정보는 받지 않습니다. 로그인이 없는 서버는 이름·이메일·계정을 요구하지 않습니다.

2.2 MCP 사용 기록

실제 이용과 자동 수집 로봇을 구분하려고 요청마다 짧은 한 줄을 남깁니다. 남기는 항목은 다음뿐입니다.

• 요청 시각
• 서버 이름과 MCP 메서드(예: initialize, tools/list, tools/call)
• AI 앱이 연결할 때 알려 주는 앱 이름과 버전
• 도구 호출이면 도구 이름
• User-Agent 헤더 앞 90자
• 접속 IP 주소와 날짜를 함께 일방향 해시해 만든 10자리 호출자 코드. 날마다 바뀌므로 날짜를 넘어 같은 호출자를 추적할 수 없고, IP 주소 자체는 이 기록에 남지 않습니다.

사용 기록에는 도구에 넣은 값, 도구 결과, API 키, IP 주소 원문이 들어가지 않습니다.

2.3 웹 서버 접속 기록

여느 웹사이트처럼 웹 서버는 표준 접속 기록을 남깁니다. 접속 IP 주소(대개 이용자 기기가 아니라 AI 회사의 서버), 시각, 요청 경로, 응답 상태·크기, 리퍼러, User-Agent입니다. 도구 값이 담기는 요청 본문은 기록하지 않습니다. 일부 도구는 검색어나 좌표를 같은 서비스의 자체 웹 API에 URL로 넘기는데, 이 내부 요청은 이용자가 아니라 회사 서버의 주소로 기록됩니다. 서버 주소 끝에 ?key=… 로 API 키를 붙이면 키가 접속 기록에 남을 수 있으니, 앱이 지원하면 Authorization 헤더를 쓰세요.

2.4 남용 방지와 임시 저장

남용을 막으려고 일부 서버는 IP 주소별 요청 수를 메모리나 짧은 임시 캐시에서 셉니다. 이 카운터는 기록(로그)에 남지 않고 24시간 안에 사라집니다. 같은 요청은 메모리의 임시 저장(최대 1시간)에서 답할 수 있습니다. WIA Address는 외부 지도 서비스 호출을 줄이려고 지오코딩 응답 사본을 디스크에 보관합니다.

2.5 도구별로 저장되는 정보

• WIA A11y Checker — 검사하면 결과(요청한 공개 페이지 주소, 점수, 발견된 문제)가 결과 ID로 저장되며, 결과 ID를 아는 사람은 누구나 조회할 수 있습니다. 회사의 자동 브라우저가 지정한 페이지를 방문합니다.
• WIA360 — run_probe·score_session은 채점 결과(문항·변형 번호, 판정, 축, 채점 신호, 언어, AI 앱이 만든 세션 참조값)를 기록합니다. 제출한 답변 전문은 채점에만 쓰고 저장하지 않습니다. get_match는 식별자 없는 궁합 통계(점수·등급)만 기록합니다.
• MusicCheck·WIA Motion — 해당 서비스 계정과 함께 동작합니다. 제출한 파일, 검사 보고서, 영상 캠페인, 크레딧 사용 내역은 그 서비스 약관에 따라 계정에 저장됩니다.
• 그 밖의 서버(코리안투데이, WIA Address, WIA Braille + WIA Talk, WIA Code, WIA GIL, WIA Music, WIA Standards, WIHP, WIA Wisdom)는 읽기 전용 조회이며 2.2~2.4 외에는 아무것도 저장하지 않습니다.

3. 이용 목적

• 이용자나 AI 앱이 보낸 도구 요청에 답하기 위해
• 분당 제한·남용 조사 등 서비스를 안전하고 안정적으로 운영하기 위해
• 전체 이용 현황을 파악하기 위해. 운영자는 숫자만 담긴 하루 요약(서버·도구·AI 앱 이름별 호출 수)을 받습니다.

회사는 정보를 판매하거나 광고에 쓰지 않고, 이용자 프로필을 만들지 않으며, 도구에 넣은 값을 AI 학습에 쓰지 않습니다.

4. 제3자 제공·처리 위탁·국외 이전

• 서버 호스팅(국외 이전): 서버는 일본 도쿄의 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure에서 운영되며, 이 방침의 정보는 그곳에서 처리·보관됩니다.
• WIA Address: 보낸 주소 글은 주소 조회·번역을 위해 행정안전부 도로명주소 서비스(business.juso.go.kr), OpenStreetMap Nominatim, Google 지도 지오코딩 API로 전달됩니다.
• WIA A11y Checker: 검사를 요청한 웹사이트는 회사 검사기의 방문을 받습니다.
• 하루 요약: 3절의 숫자 요약은 텔레그램으로 운영자에게 전달됩니다. 도구 값, IP 주소, 호출자 코드는 들어가지 않습니다.
• 법적 요청: 대한민국 등 관련 법령이 요구하는 경우에만 제공합니다.

그 밖의 제3자에게는 이 MCP 서버의 정보를 제공하지 않습니다.

AI 앱에서 언제든 커넥터 연결을 끊을 수 있습니다. 자신에 관한 정보의 열람·정정·삭제를 요청할 수 있습니다. 로그인이 없는 서버는 요청자가 누구인지 모르므로, WIA A11y 결과 ID나 WIA360 세션 참조값처럼 기록을 찾을 수 있는 정보를 함께 보내 주세요. 10일 안에 답합니다. 개인정보분쟁조정위원회(www.kopico.go.kr, 1833-6972), 한국인터넷진흥원 개인정보침해신고센터(privacy.kisa.or.kr, 국번 없이 118)에도 상담·신고할 수 있습니다.

7. 아동, 안전성, 변경

이 서버는 만 14세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않습니다. MCP 서버는 HTTPS 로만 제공되며, 기록에는 회사 관리자만 접근합니다. 방침을 바꾸면 이 페이지와 맨 위 날짜를 고칩니다.
